On Thursday, March 5th, 2020 from 7-9 pm, the USC’s Gender Equality Network will be celebrating International Women’s Day on campus to honour the breadth of women’s experiences, knowledge, and narratives around the world.
Entrance is FREE and so is the food! Spots are LIMITED so please RSVP using the confirmation feature on this page.
*** If you would like to perform (poetry, music, dance, etc), we still have space for artists! Message our page ***
The evening event will be filled with feminist art, spoken word poetry, dance, music, and more to recognize the incredible women on our campus and within the London community. Our keynote speaker for the evening is Susan Toth. Susan is an intersectional feminist, passionate about advocacy and social justice, which she channels in her work as both a lawyer and partner at the law firm Polishuk, Camman & Steele and the Vice-Chair of the London Police Services Board.
The theme of this year’s event will be Pathways: Pursuing Your Passions. We hope to encourage women to pursue their passions and support other women as they pursue their passions. There will also be plenty of opportunities to mingle with all attendees and to write a short “letter” to a woman in your life that you admire (that can be yourself)!
DRESS CODE: Business casual/cocktail attire/anything you feel fabulous in!
Doors open at 7:00 pm with appetizers and networking, and our keynote starts at 7:30 pm sharp!
Location: The Wave
Address: 1151 Richmond Rd, London, ON N6A 3K7. Located on the 2nd floor of the University Community Centre.
